Ear Drum Finally Fixed

Finally after 3 years, 2 visits to the Bullfrog Emergency Room, & a couple of painfull ear infections, I got my ruptured eardrum repaired.

I ruptured it trying to look cool doing tricks outside my experience level on a wakeboard at Lake Powell. I came down horizontaliy on the water and my eardrum instantly broke and lake water came rushing in. A few hours later my ear was throughly infected and I made my first trip to the Bullfrog Emergency Room. The second trip came the following year when I had forgotten to put in my ear plugs and once again, water rushed into my ear and got infected. I now know the ER nurse on a first name basis. If you ever get hurt in Bullfrog, ask for Polly, she'll take care of you.

Yesterday they put me under and then took a skin graft from the side of my head and patched the hole in my right eardrum. Long story short; It's fixed! (No longer will air blow out my ear when I blow my nose!)

I may just have to drive the boat this year!

Jazz/Rockets Game 6

Holly and I got to go to Game 6 in the Jazz/Rockets playoff sereis a couple of weeks ago. We had great tickets (10th row up from the court). It was loads of fun and VERY LOUD. Holly had the complete experience including haveing Beer spilled on her after an exciting play! They guy was nice and bought her a diet coke as a peace offering.

During one of the breaks they had a World Record set for the longest front flip slam dunk. Check out the video. Turns out the guy who made the dunk and set the new world record frequents our DRHorton office. He is one of the runners that carries contracts back and forth bewteen our office and the title company we use.

All in all it was a great night out and the Jazz won which really made the whole experience great. Regular season games are fun, Playoff are games are great, a Jazz/Rockets Playoff Game 6 to win the series inside the loudest arena in the NBA - Priceless!
